Piano Features Explained

All digital pianos are not created equally.  Some digital pianos do not have all 88 keys.  Others have 88 keys but don't have the feel (action) of an acoustic piano.  Even if a digital piano has 88 keys and realistic piano action, it may have poor quality speakers or piano sounds that make it less desirable.  Below are the top three most important attributes of a quality digital piano.

88 Full-sized Key Digital Pianos

Digital pianos come in a variety of sizes, but those with 88 keys will allow you to move between digital and acoustic pianos without problems.  having 88 keys will also ensure that you are able to play music that uses a wide range of pitch.

These will mimic the feel of a real acoustic piano.  Digital pianos lacking these types of keys won't feel natural and will make it hard to later play on an acoustic piano.

Quality Sound

High quality digital pianos will faithfully replicate the sound of an acoustic piano.  Most digital pianos have a few different piano sounds to chooseHi from.  If the speakers of your digital piano aren't very large, you can also plug in headphones to get a larger sound or hook your digital piano up to an amplifier.
